5.1.2 METHODS

Figure 40 depicts the menu selections which are modeled in the spirit of Macintosh applications and IBM's Common User Interface (CUI) specifications. Methods are applications which can be invoked upon the representations within the folder. It can be seen how methods can more easily be added to the menu as a line item than inserted into the information flow of the old representation. Methods are categorized into folder, model, evaluation, and server operations. The following sections relay a brief description of the use and character of the method applications used.
