5.1.2 METHODS
There are menu selection for servers: Msee: Interactive Viewer, PIMES: Knowledge Base System, and Machine Layout. Each is an application that, once launched, acts as an independent agent, receiving messages from and delivering responses to the Design Processor. The servers were illustrated previously in Figure 14. The PIMES application has been described in a previous section. The MSee visualizing agent is to be described in a later section.
The Machine Layout application is not a server within the definition of an independently running application, but is a process of the Design Processor that required so much time for a database initialization that is needed to be set somewhere for special consideration as an application.
