2.1.2.2 ELABORATION AND DISCUSSION
Design interferences include such a problem as the part interfering with the customer's sheet metal, that is, the part does not fit. Unlike drafting and design errors, these problems are due to poor communication between the customer in Detroit and IFG. The designer is often required to make a guess about design dimensions because the appropriate external data is late or missing.Although beyond the scope of the DFM project, the relevance of proper communication, whether automated or not, and proper timing within concurrent design is clear.
